Iowa Farmland Finishing fall fieldwork
November in Iowa began with cool temperatures, with average highs in the fifties and lows dipping into the twenties. By Sunday, temperatures rebounded and rose near seventy in many locations, the USDA said in its weekly crop report. Along with varying temperatures, Iowa experienced another dry week, as most of the state did not receive any rainfall.

producers at a Fife Mt field day say they'd never go back to
farming
without the information they get with the help of global
positioning
system satellites.
With GPS, producers record information about almost anything --
soils,
weeds, yield and chemical history for specific places in their
fields.
They can use that information to guide management decisions or
field
applications.
